Looking through this website bought back many good - no correction great memories of my time at the Daneway. Many a night chattiing & having a couple of ales or 2 (or more) with the locals. Lots of laughs and even the occasional emotional melt down due home sickness. The odd headache we would suffer the next day was oh so worth it when I look back, 1 husband, 3 lovely girls & 20 years later. Thank you Liz & Richard for putting up with this aussie sheila.

i used to go to your pub every sat. night from 1987 to1990,with a gentleman named Jack Barret.I was interested in finding out the dimension your bull ring game hung from the ceiling and how high the horn was from the floor.a response is appreciated.

Have visited the Daneway several times when visiting Sapperton. The food is absolutely excellent, the staff are very friendly and the location setting couldnt be better!!! The ales are the perfect temperature and the 6X is the best I have ever had! Well recommended to anyone passing for a relaxing drink or eat! This should not be missed!!!!!!!!

Always consistently high quality ales whenever I have visited, with the Wadsworth 6X particularly good.
Food is good value for money, and the whole building is steeped in wonderful history of the canal era.
This is a little gem of a place, and particularly perfect for the walking and cycling brigade!
