Well we rode into Lands End at 5.45pm last wednesday very tired, emotional but what a feeling.  That was a long 1000 miles and me and my wife are now sat at home recovering still.

Thank you for all your support. It was awesome and the guys are still talking about the steaks you guys served up.  That food you served us was something else and your hospitality was fantastic.  Thank you very much indeed.

A photograph is attached and rest assured you and your wife will be thoroughly recommended to anyone I talk to who will be visiting the Cotswolds.

Nick, the Project Leader for Bigride 2010 says.....

My wife's sister, Kirsty, died 2 years ago of a diabetes related illness and so we got together last November and came up with the idea of doing this to raise money for Diabetes UK and keep Kirsty's memory alive.

We set off from John O'Groats on the 2nd August and passed through some awesome country up in Scotland and the Lake district before cycling through the Peak district and on into Cirencester.  It was amazing.  We covered over one hundred hilly miles per day before hitting Cirencester and meeting up with Richard and Liz.

We reached Lands End at quarter to six on the 11th August having done 1000 miles in 10 days.  It was fantastic.  In total there was 6 riders including myself and 4 admin/support guys. When all the sponsor money is in we will have raised in excess of £5000 for the charity.
